The best design work is collaborative.

I work closely with my clients to recognize and build on their instincts and preferences: I turn hazy notions into cohesive concepts, and loose thoughts into structured plans.

By providing a guiding aesthetic, a step-by-step plan, and lots of practical advice, I make the design process – and the results – into real, clean, fun.
Real:
I strive to create dynamic, comfortable, well-functioning environments, not static ‘masterpieces’. I get to know my clients, and I collaborate with them to develop spaces that express who they are, and work in the ways they need.
Clean:
I believe in the quiet energy of visual simplicity. When we keep design simple we have the space to enjoy it. Of course I love ‘stuff’, and mixtures of stuff – old with new, rough with smooth – but I believe a space can be interesting without being cluttered, and exciting without being overwhelming.
Fun:
The process of creating your living space should be fun, not stressful or intimidating. I take my work seriously, but my attitude is loose and easy. When the process is fun, so is the end result.
